The final week of the regular season for high school volleyball got underway Monday night. For the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers that meant a road trip to Marion to take on the Crittenden County Lady Rockets.
The Lady Rockets, who entered the night ranked 4th in the region according to the RPI, picked up the win, taking the Lady Tigers in straight sets.
Crittenden County opened the match strong and got stronger as the night went on. The Lady Rockets took the opening set 25-14 and then the second set 25-10.
The Lady Rockets made sure there would be no comeback attempt for the Lady Tigers by rolling 25-6 in the third set to close out the match.
Lynette Nolan led the way for the Lady Tigers with two kills. Amy Toms chipped in with four assists. Kyleigh Weber added five digs for Hopkinsville.
Crittenden County improves to 13-13 with the win.
Hopkinsville drops to 7-21 on the season. The Lady Tigers close out the regular season Tuesday night hosting Caldwell County.
