Kentucky basketball’s annual Pro Day attracted representatives from every NBA team to watch John Calipari’s players display their skills.
However, what was most newsworthy was that UK did not have centers Aaron Bradshaw, Ugonna Onyenso, and Zvonimir Ivisic participating.
“We’ve got all these big guys out. We’re playing more 4-on-4 tonight,” Calipari said on ESPN SportsCenter. “We have three 7-footers. (Ivisic) should be here on campus (Thursday). We have the two with the foot injuries who are out another five-six weeks.”
Ivisic signed with Kentucky in August but the 7-foot Croatian was not officially admitted to school until last week. He likely will make his first appearance at Big Blue Madness Friday night.
Bradshaw hurt his foot at the McDonald’s All-American Game in March. Onyenso hurt his ankle when UK played in Canada during a scrimmage before UK’s first game.
If Calipari is right about the timeline for Bradshaw and Onyenso to return, they likely would not quite be ready when UK plays Kansas No. 14 in the Champions Classic in Chicago.

Don’t we go through this every year. It’s getting old!!
Yes, every year we have 3 7-footers out. Next year I want 4 7-footers out!
Me thinks there is more to this story than is being told.
Begin to wonder myself Barry.
That day Cal said 4-5 weeks. Now it’s 5-6 weeks. When it gets close to 5 weeks Cal will announce they’re not playing this season.
