A member of the Lyon County baseball team has made his college decision. In a social media post, John Bingham announced that he would be continuing his baseball and educational career at the University of Memphis.
Bingham, who is a junior at Lyon County, hit .297 last season, with four home runs and 18 RBIs.
On the mound, Bingham had 11 appearances as a sophomore in 2023, eight of those as a starter. He finished the year at 4-4 with 59 strikeouts and an ERA of 4.78.
Bingham hit .322 as a freshman with 17 RBIs. As a pitcher, Bingham was 3-0 with one save, striking out 19. He had an ERA of 2.83.
