One week after running a personal best time and missing out on a sub-18-minute run for the first time, Hopkinsville’s Tyson Cavinder followed it up with a career-best third place finish at the King and Queen of the West Invitational at Christian County High School.
The freshman covered the 3.1-mile course in 18:10, missing a personal best by 10 seconds.
De Avery Ramey finished in 12th place in 19:35, his third run of under 20 minutes in his last four races.
Nicholas Herrera finished in 47th place in 24:34 and Cameron Ezell was 50th in 27:10.
Hopkinsville will run in the Class 2A region meet in Owensboro on Saturday.
