This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of October 9 is Fort Campbell’s Emmie Underwood. Emmie was selected based on her performance for the Fort Campbell cross-country team at Saturday’s Graves County Eagle Classic in Mayfield.
She set a new Fort Campbell school record for the 5,000-meter run covering the 3.1-mile course in 18:44 to win the race by over a minute. The win was her sixth of the season and helped the Lady Falcons to a fifth-place team finish. Just nine races into her first varsity season, Underwood already owns five of the school’s eight fastest times.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County based on their performance in a big game that week.
