The Todd County Central Lady Rebels will be looking for their fifth straight trip to the 4th Region volleyball tournament as the 13th District volleyball tournament gets underway Monday evening. The tournament is being played at Franklin-Simpson High School.

The Lady Rebels have won their semifinal match each of the last four years and qualified for the regional tournament. The Lady Rebels have lost to Logan County in the final each of those years.

Action gets underway Monday evening at 5:30 when top-seeded Logan County (19-12) battles crosstown rival and fourth-seeded Russellville (0-20). The Lady Cougars easily won both matches against the Lady Panthers this season, allowing no more than 11 points in a game.

The late game Monday evening, somewhere around 6:30, has second-seeded Franklin-Simpson (19-16) taking on the Lady Rebels (15-17). Todd Central won in five sets on the road in the season opener, while the Lady Wildcats returned the favor in Elkton, getting past the Lady Rebels in four sets. Todd Central has swept Franklin-Simpson in each of the last three semifinal meetings between the two teams.

The 13th District championship match is slated for Tuesday evening at 6:00.
