
Christian County’s tight pack of runners helped them to a second place finish at Saturday’s King and Queen of the West Invitational at CCHS.
The Colonels totaled 56 points to finish 21 points ahead of third place Clarksville Northwest. Warren East won the team title with 31 points.
Joseph Parker led the Colonels with an 11th-place finish in 19:35 over the 3.1-mile course. His time was four seconds off his personal best time run in the same race last year.
Hector Munoz finished in 13th place in 19:38, just missing his personal best time run last week by three seconds.
Michael Webb battled cramping to still gut out an 18th-place finish in 20:19.
Rex Taggart was 20th in 20:28 and Aiden Knepper was 21st in 20:29.
Christian County will run in the Class 2A region meet in Owensboro on Saturday.
