
The Fort Campbell Falcons advanced to the state cross country meet as region the region runner-up following Saturday’s race at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro.
The Falcons finished with 52 points, six ahead of Murray. Dawson Springs won its fifth straight region title with a score of 38 points.
The Falcons put the second and third-place runners across the finish line of the 3.1-mile course. Jeffrey Perry finished second in 18:16, 17 seconds behind race winner Guerveson Binfield-Smith of Murray.
Seth Puraty was third in 18:17.
Jayden Perry grabbed a top-10 finish in 19:25. Ryker Kramer was 12th in 19:38, followed by Andy Cintron in 26th place (20:45), Jackson Evans in 28th place (20:51), and John Tyler Ford in 42nd place (22:41).
The Falcons will run in Saturday’s Class 1A State Cross Country Meet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
