
The Hopkinsville Tigers will have two runners competing at the Class 2A state cross country meet in Lexington next Saturday following their finish at the region meet in Owensboro on Saturday.
Freshman Tyson Cavinder finished Saturday’s race in 10th place in a time of 18:35.
DeAvery Ramey covered the 3.1-mile course in 19:13 to finish in 15th place. Both runners will compete in the state meet in Lexington on Saturday.
Kentrell Adams finished in 30th for the Tigers in 20:48. LeMareon Jeffers was 45th in 22:54, Nicolas Herrera was 49th in 25:41 and Cameron Ezell was 52nd in 26:25.
As a team, Hopkinsville finished in sixth place with 141 points. They were 14 points behind Trigg County, the final state qualifier.
