Murray High freshman Guervenson Binfield-Smith repeated as Region 1 cross country champion Saturday in Owensboro. He pulled away over the final half mile to defeat Fort Campbell’s Jeffrey Perry and Seth Puraty.
Dawson Springs won its fifth straight boys’ region title, beating Fort Campbell by 14 points.
