Last year’s region runner-up, Webster County’s Mayci Moore, won Saturday’s Class 2A Region 1 Meet in Owensboro. Last year’s winner, Reese Settle of Calloway County, was second.
Calloway County took home the region championship trophy, while Hopkinsville was runner-up – its best region finish in 44 years. Logan County was third and will take a full team to the state meet for the first time.
