This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of October 16 is Christian County’s Ashlea Russell. Ashlea was selected based on her performance in Christian County’s district volleyball tournament win over Heritage Christian, a win that placed the Lady Colonels in the district final and qualified them for the regional tournament.
Ashlea had a big night on the court for the Lady Colonels, especially as it pertained to setting the table for her teammates, as she finished the match with 13 assists. She added three kills, three aces, and two digs to her totals.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County based on their performance in a big game that week.
