Caldwell County will recognize and honor the seven newest members of its Football Hall of Fame Friday night when the Tigers host Trigg County for the annual 139 Bowl at Tiger Stadium.

Former players Paul Copeland, David Feagan, Mo Hollowell, John Mark Hutcheson, Ricky Robinson and Craig Wyatt have all been selected along with Frankie Brown, the longtime public address announcer at Tiger Stadium.

• Paul Copeland was a senior on the 1981 Tiger football team.

Copeland was the team’s leading rusher that season with 731 yards and seven touchdowns. He also led the Tigers in interceptions with five and was fourth in tackles with 73.

He finished his career with over 1,150 yards rushing.

• David Feagan was a senior on the 1990 team.

Feagan was an outstanding offensive and defensive lineman on strong Tiger teams that went 7-4 in 1989 and 9-2 in 1990.

Feagan was one of the last Tigers to play varsity football as an eighth grader before the KHSAA made eighth graders ineligible at the varsity level.

A two-way starter, Feagan was named All-WKC his senior season.

• Mo Hollowell was a senior on the 1996 squad.

A two-way starter at receiver and defensive back, Hollowell led the team in receptions his senior season. He had 27 catches for 467 yards and seven touchdowns to help the Tigers forge a 9-3 record. He also recorded five interceptions and eight total takeaways that year.

Hollowell was named honorable mention all-state by the Courier-Journal following his senior season.

He also topped the team in catches as a junior, making 22 grabs for 420 yards and five scores in 1995.

• John Mark Hutcheson was a senior in the 1995 season.

An outstanding linebacker and fullback, Hutcheson led the Tigers in tackles in both 1994 and 1995, including 136 stops his senior season. That was 39 more tackles than anyone else on the team.

Hutcheson topped the team with 78 total tackles in 1994.

• Ricky Robinson was a senior on the 1985 Tiger team.

Robinson led the team in rushing that season with 514 yards and three touchdowns. He also averaged over 35 yards on seven kickoff returns and over 10 yards on 13 punt returns.

Robinson scored touchdowns in each game as Caldwell knocked off two schools in 1985 that went on to win state championships — Crittenden County in Class A and Mayfield in Class 2A.

• Craig Wyatt was a senior on Caldwell’s 1998 state championship team.

Wyatt hauled in two touchdown passes in the Tigers’ 38-28 win over Danville in the state finals.

He was second on the team in receptions with 21 catches for 414 yards and six touchdowns that season while also finishing fourth in tackles with 106 from his defensive end position.

• Frankie Brown has been a familiar voice at Tiger Stadium for many years, imploring home crowds to “Get on your feet, Tiger fans!”

Brown is in his 28th straight season of doing PA for home football games for the Tigers.

Kickoff time for Friday’s game is 7:00.

In addition to Hall of Fame activities, CCHS will hold Senior Night recognition prior to the contest.
