Like many people, Hopkinsville High junior DeAvery Ramey was shocked when his track and field coach Pablo Sanchez died suddenly in February. After two years of track, Ramey came out for the Tiger cross country team this fall and recorded a 15th place finish at region which means a first trip to Saturday’s state meet.
Why run cross country? Ramey said it’s for his former coach.
