The Crittenden County Lady Rockets finished in 19th place on Saturday at the Class A State Cross Country Meet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Mary Martinez led the Lady Rockets with a 101st-place finish in 24:22.
Ella Geary was the second runner across the line in 136th place in a time of 25:28. Presley Potter was 138th in 25:29), followed by Aubrey Grau in 152nd (25:53); Ella Whitney in 167th (26:32); and Karsyn Potter in 203rd place (29:09).
As a team, Crittenden County finished in 19th place out of 31 teams with a score of 546, finishing 33 points behind 18th place Fort Campbell.
The Lady Falcons did have the individual state champion in seventh grader Emmie Underwood, who ran a 19:11 to claim the title.
Crittenden County did not qualify a team last year but improved seven places from their last trip in 2021.
