Jude Finch continued his marked improvement on Saturday at the KHSAA state cross country meet.
The University Heights Academy freshman finished in 176th place in the Class A race at the Kentucky Horse Park’s paddock course. His time was 21:27 over the rolling 3.1-mile course.
While Finch’s time was a season-best or a personal best, it was his lowest in three state meet appearances.
Finch finished 251st in 2022 with a time of 22:24. As a seventh grader in 2021, he was 240th in 24:53.
Bishop Brossart’s Nathan Ruth was the race winner in 16:04.
Finch was the lone representative for UHA at Saturday’s state meet.
