
Hopkins County Central was represented by a girls runner and full boys team at Saturday’s KHSAA Class 2A state cross country meet in Lexington.
For the guys, eighth grader Landon Posey led the Storm with a 128th-place finish in 19:57.
Todd Payne was 180th in 20:52, with Andrew Potocnik (20:55) closed behind in 182nd place and Jaxson Adcock 183rd in 20:55.
Sam Martin finished in 197th place (21:20) followed by Alex Ray in 199th place (21:21) and James Adams in 205th place (21:30).
As a team, Hopkins County Central scored 729 points to finish in 28th place.
Lily Armour was the lone girls’ runner for Hopkins County Central, finishing in 177th place in a time of 27:18.
