The Crittenden County Rockets cross country team sent seven runners to the start line at Saturday’s Class A state meet in Lexington and finished in 34th place.
Asa McCord was the first Rocket to cross the finish line. The junior covered the rolling 3.1-mile course at the Kentucky Horse Park in 20:00.
Jayden Gibson was 187th in 21:40, followed by Landon Starkey in 214th place (22:34); Noah Martinez in 149th place (personal-best 23:05); Jaxton Duncan in 234th place (23:58); Zackary Rustin in 252nd place (25:32); and Maddox Watkins in 261st place (29:43).
