Webster County placed two runners in the top 15 and brought home a seventh-place finish at the KHSAA Class 2A State Cross Country Meet Saturday in Lexington.
Senior Brice Nelson capped his career with a seventh-place finish in a time of 16:47 over the rolling 3.1-mile course at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Fellow senior Preston Glassco finished in 13th place with a time of 17:11.
Landon Higdon finished in 27th place in 17:47, followed by Liam Farris in 98th place (19:19), Maddox Starks in 130th place (19:59), Kiylon Dre Scott in 188th place (21:03); and Eli Palmer in 225th place (22:37).
Webster’s team total of 240 points was 36 points ahead of eighth-place John Hardin (276) and 10 points behind sixth-place Corbin (230).
