PHOTOS – UHA Boys Soccer Turns the Page on 2023 Season

After a 13-9-1 season that yielded an All-A Region title and a fourth-straight 8th-District championship, the University Heights Academy boys’ soccer team held its annual end-of-season banquet on Tuesday at New Work Fellowship Church in Hopkinsville.

Junior varsity award winners included: Offensive MVP – Cadence Gibson, Defensive MVP – Hayden Fitzsimmons and Paxton Aldridge, Field General Award – Jayden Williamson, and Captain Awards – Hayden Fitzsimmons and Jayden Williamson.

Griffin McCoy took home Offensive MVP after bagging 19 goals and adding eight assists.  Coaches’ Association 2nd Region Defensive Player of the Year Clayton Lester shared the Defensive MVP Award with center-back partner Harlow Hampton, and Logan Miller collected the Field General Award after a four-goal, seven-assist campaign.

Que Quarles, Matthew Hauret, Hampton, and Lester were honored with Captain’s Awards, and Quarles, Hauret, Prit Patel, and Ty Jones received Senior Awards.  Quarles and Hauret concluded their careers with four straight district titles, the first Blazer class in at least 23 years to do so.
