Madisonville-North Hopkins High School senior Karra Tucker has been named the Region 2 Golf Player of the Year by the Region’s coaches.
Tucker won a second straight region title and had several top finishes at top meets throughout the state and finished tied for fourth at the Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac State Tournament. As a result, Tucker was able to bring home First-Team All-State honors as well.
Tucker signed earlier this week to continue her golf and college career at Eastern Kentucky University.
Also named first-team all-region were Claire Reynolds of Daviess County, Conlee Lindsey of University Heights Academy; Alexa Salamah of Daviess County; and Adelynn Moorman of Breckinridge County.
Meanwhile, Tucker’s teammate Sydney Browning earned Second Team All-Region honors.
