Hoptown Cheerleaders Advance to UCA Nationals

A week after a fourth-place finish at the KHSAA region cheer competition, the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers will be packing their bags for the UCA National Competition in Florida.

Hopkinsville competed at the UCA Tennessee Extreme Regional Saturday at the Farm Bureau Exposition Center in Lebanon, Tennessee, finishing in seventh place in the Medium Varsity Non-Tumbling Game Day Finals Division with a score of 80.9.

As a result of their clean routine, Hopkinsville will compete at the UCA Nationals on February 9-12 at Disney’s ESPN Wild World of Sports in Orlando.

Hopkinsville’s cheer coaches are Kaleigh Stout and Rayven Bettis.

Cheer team members are Emma Hale-Lykins, Martimadia Creamer, Autumn Johnson, Tynaihja Watson, Ar’Niya Brown, Antavia Shemwell, McKenzie Williamson, Alyssa Meyer, Chiniyah Curry, Kyah Chandler, Kaylea Piercy, Amira Trotter, MaKenna Vanderkolk, Macy Lancaster, Amiyah Williams, Samantha Prescott, and Amani Jones.
