The Caldwell County Tiger basketball team will finish the preseason with a 2-0 record after picking up a win at Hancock County in scrimmage action Monday night.
JayDarius Wilson had 26 points, including a pair of monstrous dunks, as the Tigers defeated the Hornets 64-50.
Collin Whittington added 16 points in the victory while Demaurius Thompson had 11.
Earlier, Caldwell’s guys had picked up a 70-52 win over Crittenden County when those two teams met in the throwback game, the Havoc at the Hive in Fredonia, on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Caldwell County fans can check out the 2023-24 Tiger and Lady Tiger basketball teams Tuesday night during Tiger Madness at the CAB gym. Doors open at 5:30 with activities starting at 6:00. Both basketball teams and the Caldwell cheerleaders will be introduced.
The regular season for high school hoops teams around the commonwealth begins next week.
Both Caldwell squads will begin the new season on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The Tigers will host Webster County that night while the Lady Tigers play at Marshall County.
