Another Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball player is headed to Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Illinois.
CCHS senior Alicia Stanley made it official on Tuesday, signing to play for the Bobcats in a ceremony in the Fine Arts Center at Caldwell County High School.
The shortstop will join Caldwell grad A.J. Hollowell at Frontier College. Hollowell is a freshman at the school and played for the Bobcats during the fall schedule.
Besides Hollowell and Stanley, another former Lady Tiger played at Frontier College. Emma Staples was a member of the Bobcats softball team just a few years ago.
Stanley hit .345 as a junior this past spring at Caldwell County. She had four home runs and 20 runs batted in to help the Lady Tigers go 18-13 and finish as 2nd Region runner-up to Henderson County, which was a state semifinalist.
As a sophomore in 2022, Stanley hit at a .419 clip with nine homers and 33 RBIs. Caldwell went 16-13 that season and reached the regional semifinals.
Frontier College competes in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Stanley had committed to the school in June.
