The search for a new football coach will be getting underway at Todd County Central High School. After nearly four years on the job, Josh Robins announced Monday morning that he was stepping down as the head coach of the Rebels.

Robins was hired to take over the program in January of 2020. During his four seasons as the Todd Central coach, Robins took the Rebels to the Class 2A playoffs each year. The Rebels lost to Hancock County in 2020 and 2021, to Mayfield in 2022, and dropped a close 24-20 decision to Crittenden County this season. Included in that playoff run was the first home playoff game in 25 years.

Todd Central improved from three wins in 2020 to four wins in 2021 and then five wins in each of 2022 and 2023.

In a statement posted on social media Monday morning, Robins thanked students, staff, and the community for their support over his four seasons as coach. He also thanked his players and their families for their work and dedication to the program.

Robins was hired at Todd County Central in January 2020 after three seasons as head coach at Fort Campbell. Robins came to Fort Campbell in 2017 after five seasons as defensive coordinator at Clarksville Northwest.

Robins is a U.S. Army veteran who played his high school football in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
