
Caldwell County’s girls drew a tough season opener with Tuesday’s trip to perennial 1st Region power Marshall County.
The homestanding Lady Marshals ran out to an 18-5 lead after one quarter, and led 43-11 at halftime on the way to a 59-25 decision.
Eden Sandlin had 17 points to pace Marshall while Skylar Waller added 14 and Kenzlie Terry tossed in 11.
Brylee Butts was the only Lady Tiger to score in double figures with 12.
The Lady Tigers were scheduled to host Mayfield on Thursday but that date has been pushed back to Dec. 18.
Caldwell’s girls will next play Friday night when they host Union County.
