Shiyah Forte started her senior season with a double-double and Alicia Davis posted 14 points in her Hopkinsville debut to lead the Lady Tigers to a 51-43 opening-night victory at Warren Central.
Forte scored ten of her 11 points in the second half, hauled down 11 rebounds, and blocked three shots to lead the way. Davis made her first start for the Lady Tigers after transferring from University Heights Academy, leading the team in points while providing four assists and collecting five rebounds.
Kahtahvia Fleming scored five of her eight points in the second quarter, and Ta’Ria Sharber added five in the fourth to finish with seven. Lashanti Wilson tallied six assists and scored five points, and Crislyn Murray tracked down six rebounds.
Hopkinsville will travel to Madisonville-North Hopkins on Thursday. The Lady Maroons have taken the last seven meetings in the series, including a 63-51 decision last season.
