This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of November 27 is Christian County’s Derrell Bateman. Derrell was selected based on his performance in the Colonels’ season-opening contest against Butler County.
Derrell was the Colonels’ leading scorer in a close 62-59 loss to the Bears in the Jersey Mike’s Classic at Great Crossing High School. He finished with 29 points and 15 rebounds to lead the way for Christian County. Additionally, with his first point of the game, Derrell joined the 1,000-point club at Christian County High School.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County based on their performance in a big game that week.
