The Lyon County Lyons are putting up points at a wildfire pace and they have no indication of slowing down anytime soon. For the second time in three games, the Lyons hit the century mark Tuesday night as they scorched the Livingston Central Cardinals 109-58 in Smithland.

With the 109 points, the Lyons are now averaging 99.7 points a game through the first three games of the season.

Lyon County had the offense on overdrive from the very beginning of the game, taking a 31-13 lead after the opening quarter. The trio of Travis Perry, Jack Reddick, and Brady Shoulders combined for 25 points in the quarter.

The Lyon offense did not slow down in the second, hanging 29 more on the scoreboard as the Lyons extended the lead out to 60-28 at the break.

Travis Perry then finished off the Cardinals with a sizzling outside shooting display in the third quarter. Perry hit five shots from behind the arc in the quarter as Lyon County blew the lead out to 92-43.

Reserves would see extensive playing time for the Lyons in the 4th quarter, which played out quickly with the running clock in play.

Travis Perry had another big night for Lyon County, lighting it up for 32 points, Jack Reddick added 24. Bray Kirk had his best night of the season with 19, while Brady Shoulders added 14.

For Livingston Central, Logan Wring was the top scorer with 22 points. Reese Davidson was the other Cardinal to hit double-figures with 11.

Lyon County (3-0) is back in action this weekend as they travel to Columbia, Missouri to take on Father Tolton.

  1. This is how Perry broke the KY scoring record. Why was he still in the game? Cause daddy wants him to put the record out of sight. This is time to let someone else play..

  2. Have you seen Travis play? I have. He is not a ball-hog or a gunner. He plays within the team concept. Did you notice the reserves played most of the 4th quarter?
Lyon County is one of the most enjoyable high school teams I’ve ever seen.
