PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — If you are looking for a show with an “array” of talent/entertainment, then the new “Christmas at Array” variety show is perfect for you.
When co-producer Hugh Warren says “Christmas is our most fun time of year” he is not kidding.
It has talented singers, non-stop dancers some unique speciality acts that keep you smiling and entertained for over two hours
The show offers a variety of Christmas music ranging from “older” holiday tunes to today’s songs. How can you not like “White Christmas” or “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” along with other songs during the show?
The show ends with the story of the birth of Christ and incorporates every performer in the show in the finale that reminds you about the true meaning of Christmas.
One thing that stood out to us was how much fun the performers had during the show. The dancers must have changed costumes 20 times during the show which has to be stressful but every time they were on stage they were always smiling and that just makes you feel good about what you are seeing.
We had been to “Array” in the spring and one of my favorite acts then was Dutch juggler Niels Dunker, who holds eight Guinness Book of World Records in juggling. He was as good as ever and worked in a little holiday charm along with his extraordinary juggling skills.
The gauchos from Argentina are high energy. They make what they are doing look so easy despite doing it so fast — and they also work in plenty of humor. Aerialist Sarah Harrison also brings a unique performance high in the air.
The best thing is this show is family friendly. There were young children there thrilled when Santa Claus appeared and senior citizens a lot older than me who loved every minute of what they were seeing and hearing.
And I think we all enjoyed the special effects and lighting, including the laser lights.
It’s just a fun two hours or more to get you in the holiday spirit and bring back some great Christmas memories.
And if you go to the show, make sure to get one — or maybe even two — Amish pretzels. They are DELICIOUS, especially when you add the cinnamon.
