A former standout volleyball player at University Heights Academy has been honored collegiately for her work in the classroom. Centre College senior Lily Hendricks was among those recognized as the NCAA released its Academic All-District honorees for the 2023 Division III volleyball season.
Hendricks, a defensive specialist at Centre, was among those to receive the Academic All-District distinction.
Hendricks was a solid performer on the Centre back line for four seasons. She recorded 89 aces and 752 digs in her career with her best season coming in 2021 as she led the Colonels with 37 aces. She finished with a career-high 298 digs.
She played in 88 matches and 308 sets in her four seasons, helping Centre post winning records in each of the last three.
Hendricks is a politics major and a two-time team captain.
