Shooting Woes Trip Lady Falcons in Loss to Community Christian

The Fort Campbell girls’ basketball team couldn’t find the range over the first three quarters of Thursday’s matchup with visiting Community Christian, falling 59-35 despite a double-double for Rosella Rajj.

The Lady Falcons remained winless through the first six games of the season ahead of a visit from North Hardin Classical.  Community Christian snapped a three-game skid to improve to 2-5.

Halle Allred and Emma Wring combined for 12 points and Audrey Tucker added four to send Community Christian to an early 11-point advantage.  Rajj scored six of the Lady Falcons’ eight points in the opening frame.

Allred added eight more points in the second quarter, and the Lady Warriors took a 38-12 lead into the halftime break.

Fort Campbell was held to six points in the third before Rajj got going with 11 points in the fourth.  Rajj led all scorers with 21 and hauled down 11 rebounds.  No other Lady Falcon scored more than four points.

Wring led the Lady Warriors with 15 points, followed by Allred with 14, and Tucker with 12.

Fort Campbell shot 14/66 from the field and connected on one of 13 three-point attempts.  Community Christian finished 20/72 and made 13 of 31 free-throw attempts.
