Caldwell County Grapplers Hall of Fame organizers did a good job of keeping Saturday’s Hall of Fame announcement under wraps.
David Richey won three state wrestling championships at Caldwell, going undefeated his sophomore, junior and senior seasons on the mat.
He said he was surprised to be called out onto the mat before the Armstrong Classic and to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
YSE spoke with Richey afterward.
