One tough quarter turned out to be the difference for the Todd County Central Rebels Monday night in Bowling Green. Warren East put up 24 points in the third quarter as the Raiders came back from a halftime deficit to take a 71-56 win over the Rebels.
The win was the 3rd straight for Warren East and the third straight over the Todd County Central Rebels.
Behind a quick start for Jamison Glass, the Rebels took a 14-12 lead after the opening quarter. Glass had another big quarter in the second as the teams played even and Todd Central took a 30-28 lead into the break.
Things came undone for the Rebels after the break. While the offense was scoring 24 points in the third, the Warren East defense was limiting the Rebels’ offense to just nine points as the Raiders claimed a 52-39 lead.
The Rebels played right with the Raiders in the final quarter but could not chew away at the double-digit lead as Warren East went on to take the win.
Jamison Glass, who is one of the state’s top ten leading scorers, finished with 29 points. Hayden Strader was the other Rebel to hit double-figures with 11.
Dane Parsley and Brendan Bratcher scored 12 points each for Warren East. Michael Clark added 11 for the Raiders.
Todd County Central (3-4) gets back to action Wednesday taking on Daviess County in the Rafferty’s/Double Dogs Caveland Classic at Edmonson County High School.
