Ben Davis Blisters the Net to Down Knoxville Catholic at Hoops Classic (w/PHOTOS)

Ben Davis blistered the nets while turning back Knoxville Catholic 76-52 Thursday in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.

The Indianapolis school shot 60.4 percent from the field, including 53.8 percent from 3-point range while picking up a win over the Tennessee school.

The Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish (9-3) actually led 14-12 after one quarter, but the Giants of Ben Davis began to take control of the game in the second period. By halftime, Ben Davis led 34-26 and would add to that margin in the second half.

K.J. Windham was 8 of 11 from the floor and made five of his eight 3-point attempts while totaling a game-high 21 points. Justin Parks added 15 and Justin Harrington had 14 for Ben Davis, which is now 5-2.

Knoxville Catholic got 10 points apiece from Caleb Asbaty and Carson Asbaty.

Windham was named Player of the Game for Ben Davis while Caleb Asbaty earned that honor for Knoxville Catholic.

Both teams will see Hoops Classic action again on Friday. Ben Davis faces Pinson Valley (Ala.) at 3:30 p.m. while Knoxville Catholic faces Evangel Christian.
