
Zahir Gutierrez hit for 32 points and Olive Branch (Miss.) ran past Miller Career Academy from St. Louis 94-48 Thursday afternoon in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.
Gutierrez was 12 of 18 from the field, including seven of 12 from behind the 3-point arc. He also grabbed six rebounds and had three assists.
The Conquistadors (13-2) ran out to a 26-14 lead after 8 minutes and took a 46-27 advantage to halftime.
Kelton Brown and Trey Wall each added 16 points for Olive Branch.
Miller Career Academy (2-7) got 23 points from Antione Franklin Jr. in the setback.
Gutierrez and Franklin were the Players of the Game for each respective team.
Both teams play again Friday in the Hoops Classic. Olive Branch plays Rossview (Tenn.) at 2 p.m. while Miller Career Academy takes on Hamilton Heights from Chattanooga at 6:30.
