Hodge’s 3-Pointers Help Crittenden Nip Logan in OT at Hoops Classic (w/PHOTOS)

A pair of key 3-pointers by eighth grader Jordyn Hodge helped Crittenden County’s girls outlast Logan County in overtime Friday in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.

Hodge buried a shot from behind the arc with just 25 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 50-50.

She then connected from the right wing with 30 seconds left in overtime to put the Lady Rockets up 57-55, and Crittenden held on to beat the Lady Cougars 60-57.

Hodge also canned two free throws with 15 seconds left in the extra session to help the Lady Rockets (6-3) hold on.

Hodge finished with 18 points, going 5 of 6 from 3-point range.

She got help from teammate Anna Boone, who tallied a game-high 23 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists. Andrea Federico added eight points, 10 boards and four helpers.

For Logan, Kyla Bilyeu had 20 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots. Brenley Adler added 12 points and eight boards. Emily Borders had 12 points and six rebounds.

Logan led for much of the contest, taking a 23-18 advantage to halftime and going up by as much as nine points, 29-20, midway through the third period.

The Lady Cougars entered the fourth quarter with a 38-33 advantage.

The game featured six ties and seven lead changes.

Crittenden and Logan each went 1-1 in the Hoops Classic.
