
With a limited roster, the Caldwell County wrestling team still brought home a top-10 finish at Saturday’s Christian County Invitational.
Cofy Walls finished in second place in the 144-pound class, losing a 3-2 decision to Union County’s Hunter Jenkins in what could be a foreshadowing of the region matchup.
Justin Klidzejs finished third at 106 with a 3-1 day. His only loss was to Union County’s Braxton Corbett in the semifinals.
Andre Carter was third at 113 with a 5-1 day. He battled back from a second-round loss to win his final four matches.
Caldwell County scored 77 points to finish 2.5 points behind both Henderson County and Fort Campbell.
Union County finished in first place with 324.5 points. Nolensville, Tenn. was second with 233 points followed by Christian County (147.5) and defending state champion Paducah Tilghman (146.5).
