Five 2nd Region Players Among State Scoring Leaders

As we make the turn past Christmas and head for the New Year, there are several 2nd Region boys’ basketball standouts ranked among the state’s leaders in scoring.

Among the boys’ scoring leaders, there are five players from the 2nd Region ranked among the top 50. Leading the way is Lyon County’s Travis Perry, who comes in fourth, at 29.1 points per contest.

Others from the 2nd Region are:

Derrell Bateman – Christian County – 28.4 ppg – 7th in the state

Antonio Williams – Hopkinsville – 26.7 ppg – 11th in the state

Jason Leek – Heritage Christian – 24.7 ppg – 18th in the state

JayDarius Wilson – Caldwell County – 22.2 ppg – 29th in the state
