Med Thomas and Brylee Butts had 3-pointers to bookend a 10-0 run to start the second quarter for Caldwell County.
The Lady Tigers never trailed after that while pulling away for a 68-45 victory over Whitesville Trinity Friday in Princeton.
Butts finished the day with a game-high 25 points as Caldwell picked up its second win of the season.
Trinity (0-9) led 8-5 midway through the first quarter and trailed just 11-9 after one period.
Even after Caldwell’s 10-0 run to start the second quarter, the Lady Raiders crept back to within 21-18 with just under 3 minutes left in the first half.

However, the Lady Tigers put together a strong run to finish the first half, scoring seven straight to push the margin to double figures, then taking a 32-20 lead to halftime on a long 3-pointer by Tink Clark at the horn.
Caldwell (2-7) continued to add to its lead after the break, going up 20 points, 45-25, midway through the third period and taking a 52-31 advantage to the final quarter.
Clark had 14 points and Thomas added 13 for the Lady Tigers, who also got seven points and 11 rebounds from Nyla Sykes.
For Trinity, Kenzie McDowell had 15 points and 13 rebounds while Sarah Payne and Ella Morris each had 10 points.
The 45 points were the most scored by the Lady Raiders this season.
