
Odell Bradley scored nine of his game-high 23 points in the decisive third quarter to help Beech, Tenn. defeat Trigg County 55-47 in the third-place game of the Rhea County Christmas Classic on Friday.
Beech held a slim one-point lead at halftime before Bradley equaled Trigg’s output as a team in the third quarter.
The Tennessee school was able to put the game away with a 6 for 7 showing at the free throw line in the final minutes.
Landon Stewart hit five 3-pointers and scored a season-high 19 points for the Wildcats. Jhaden Vaughn added 13 points. Both were named to the all-tournament team.
Trigg County returns to Kentucky with a 5-6 record and will play Webster County in the semifinals of the Class 2A sectionals Thursday night at Wildcat Gym.
