Lyons Run Past Livingston for 11th Straight Win

It’s now 11 straight wins for the Lyon County Lyons, who ran past Livingston Central 94-61 in 5th District action Thursday night in Eddyville.

The Lyons hit the Jason White Gymnasium floor at full gear, outscoring the Cardinals 25-4 over the first 5 minutes of the game.

Lyon (14-1 overall, 4-0 district) led 31-10 at halftime and 55-24 at halftime.

The 35-point mercy rule for a running clock was reached in the third quarter, with the Lyons taking a 82-48 lead to the final period.

The Lyons used a balanced offensive effort while downing the Cardinals for the second time this season.

Travis Perry scored 18 of his game-high 28 points in the first half. Brady Shoulders and Lukas Breedlove each had 16 points with Jack Reddick getting 15 and Bray Kirk 11.

For Livingston, Zion Meyers had 16 points while Logan Wring added 14 and Avery Zaim 12.

The Cardinals are now 3-9 and 1-3.

Lyon continues its busy schedule by playing Christian County Saturday night in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Hoops Classic at Hoptown High.

Lyon and Livingston will play in the 2nd Region All A Classic next week.
