
It was a tough night for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons to have their lowest offensive output of the season. Christian Fellowship shut out the Lady Falcons in the opening quarter and limited them to just ten points on the night as the Lady Eagles rolled to a 51-10 win on post. The win came on a night when the Lady Eagles’ Gracie Howard wrote a chapter in 1st Region girls’ basketball history.
Christian Fellowship took control of this one early in the contest as the Lady Eagles put up 19 points in the first quarter to take a 19-0 lead. That lead grew in the second as CFS limited Fort Campbell to just four points and pushed the lead out to 30-4 at the break.
The running clock came into play during the 3rd quarter as the Lady Eagles kept their offense rolling and moved the lead out to 47-8 heading into the final quarter.
The Christian Fellowship defense held Fort Campbell to just four total field goals in the game.
Fort Campbell was led by Laticyia Cabrera with four points. Rosella Rajj added three for the Lady Falcons.
On the night she became the 1st Region’s leading scorer, Gracie Howard scored 21 points to lead Christian Fellowship. Rylee Hudson added 8 points for the Lady Eagles.
Fort Campbell (1-7) gets back to action Thursday night at 7:30 at Caldwell County as the Lady Falcons take on the winner of Lyon County and Livingston Central in the semifinals of the 2nd Region All A Classic.
