
The Caldwell County Lady Tiger basketball team came up just a little bit short in its trip to Ohio County Saturday afternoon.
Down 24-19 at halftime and 37-33 through three quarters, the Lady Tigers suffered a 53-46 setback to the Lady Eagles.
Caldwell, which had won three of its previous four games, was still as close as 41-37 with 4 minutes left in the game. But the Lady Tigers could not get over the hump.
Ohio County is now 4-11.
Med Thomas led Caldwell with 16 points while Tink Clark added 10.
KeDarriah Thompson had seven points, Nyla Sykes six, Brylee Butts five and Morgan Aikins two for the Lady Tigers.
Caldwell will carry a 4-9 mark into the 2nd Region All A Classic. The Lady Tigers will host Heritage Christian Academy Monday night in a quarterfinal round matchup.
