
Make it four wins in the last five games for the Christian County Lady Colonels. Anaysia Bagwell led a trio of Lady Colonels in double figures as Christian County picked up a 61-54 win over the Greenwood Lady Gators Tuesday night in Lyle Dunbar Gym.
It was a game the Lady Colonels led for most of the night but could never quite get the Lady Gators put away.
Anaysia Bagwell, NeVaeh Day, and Lazarie Daniel scored every point for Christian County in the opening quarter as the Lady Colonels took an 18-11 lead.
Christian County’s lead would grow to as many as nine points in the second quarter before Greenwood scored the final four points of the quarter to trim the lead to 27-22 at the half.

Anaysia Bagwell took over the third quarter for the Lady Colonels. The sophomore scored 13 points in the quarter as Christian County held serve and took a 42-37 lead into the final eight minutes of the game. Greenwood had opened the half on a 12-5 run to take a 34-32 lead. Christian County would then close out the third with a 10-3 run of their own.
Greenwood would close to within three points on a couple of occasions inside the final eight minutes of the game but that would be as close as the Lady Gators would get to grabbing the lead again as Christian County moved on to take the seven-point win.
Christian County’s Anaysia Bagwell led all scorers with 25 points. NeVaeh Day and Lazarie Daniel added 13 points each.

Leia Trinh was Greenwood’s top scorer with 21 points. Anzlee Hendricks would finish with 14 points.
Christian County improves to 7-8 on the season. The Lady Colonels will host Heritage Christian Thursday night.
