What do fans want to know after Tuesday’s game against Missouri? No, it’s not how many points Antonio Reeves scored. No, it’s not why Reed Sheppard didn’t start.
The burning question …”What was Coach O yelling at Cal?”
Coach Orlando Antigua is normally subdued on the bench during games. I think we all can agree his main job is to get Cal under control and hold him back if needed. However last night we got to see a different side of bench Coach O.
It is pure comedy to read the guesses posted on social media. I have no answer. The only one who knows is Coach O. Perhaps that could be a question at the next presser Cal sends him to attend. Until then social media will just have to keep lip reading.
Both teams were on fire in the first minutes of the game. Threes were flowing and the Tigers held their own with the Cats. Missouri continued to battle during the first half and managed to cut the lead to three at one point. At the half, Kentucky led 47-42.
Rob Dillingham continued to add to his 11 first half points during the second half and had a game-high 23 points. Four other Cats scored in double figures, Mitchell with 20, Wagner with 16, Reeves with 14, and Bradshaw contributed 10.
Missouri was like a bad penny and just kept showing up. The Cats would pull ahead and then the Tigers would get hot. The Cats got the lead 86-73 and closed the deal.
Next up for Kentucky is a trip to College Station Saturday where it will tip off at 2 p.m. against the Aggies (9-5).
The weather is going to be nasty so fix a pot of chili, grab some peanut butter or pimento cheese, beverage of choice, and enjoy.

Larry,
As a compliment to the players…they sure fired up some "String Music" last nite from deep. It’s too bad Antigua didn’t make it coaching down in South Florida. Guess he didn’t have the players..I was hoping he’d make it.
Coach needs to settle down. He’s crazy over on that sideline. Kinda rubs off on all the coaching staff, except Ulis. I’d sure like a picture of him coming completely out of his shirt. His whole shirt was hanging over his beltline. Definitely a rule in basketball to make sure your jersey is tucked in unless you are the Marquette Warriors coached during Al McGuire era (btw, those shirts were designed by the players).
Off the subject, notice how Reed utilizes the entire half court set. This is part of his game. He likes to dribble back out close to the mid court line. This takes pressure off of him while resetting the offense. It’s a thing of beauty. Also notice that the defensive player never follows him to provide pressure. Haven’t seen it all season long. Hall would instruct to never leave your man, hence the belly button defense.
East II has a nice game. Mizzou is a tough team but their little guy air mailed two threes and missed a bunch of shots.
Good win for the Cats. And nobody beats Cawood in game preparation. Nice try Jimmy. More mock draft plastered to the TV screen. Is what it is. NBA ratings are not to good. Probably why they are paid to do this "stuff". Talk about the college game
and save your NBA soul for later.
Peace out.

I agree I wish they’d called the game like the good old days Cawood was the best new each player by name and called it like it was so much better than todays announcers, I just want to hear about the game being played
Amen, Joy!!!! A True Blue Wildcat fan! Long live Cawood Ledford. His name should be on the court permanently…. somewhere.
Me too
I’ve seen speculation that Coach O was telling Cal that the player had asked to be taken out. I’ve come to the conclusion that if someone says “this is what was said” then when I look at the footage, I will agree. I guess I am just overly suggestible. Ha.
As good an explanation as any Karen
We were at the Gamer Tuesday. Great game.
Oh my that was a great game the wild cats put on coach CAL is the best of all time he has got it going on for Kentucky
Go Big Blue!!!!
So many things happening with this team and all of its moving parts. The progression from week to week is a beautiful thing. Some have chosen to take shots at our coach while he attempted to get up off the mat for the first time in his career. Kicked him instead of helping him up. Well, he’s up. And restoring order for the program that he loves more than anything. More than anyone in the media cares to admit apparently. Can’t wait for Saturday. Followed by another article written about a non story within the real story. GO CATS! In Cal we trust.
Not sure what you mean Chilly about a non story within the real story. Tell me more
