
Caldwell placers at Henderson County.
The Caldwell County Middle School wrestling team has been busy as it prepares for its regional tournament this Saturday at Paducah Tilghman.
On Sunday, Jan. 7, the middle school wrestlers took part in State Duals in Louisville.
Ethan Klidzejs and Bradley Asher each went 4-0 for that day as the Tigers gained state tournament experience.
Caldwell wrestled the Colts and Derby City out of Louisville, Ashland out of eastern Kentucky and Southern Middle School.
The Tigers had four first-year kids get a lot of experience just in that one tournament.
Other youngsters that participated in State Duals were Lincoln VanHooser, Carter Holland, Breiden Trent, Noah Bonnell, John Cormier, Jacob Rea, Jarrett Basco, Wylie Jones, Evan Ramage, Johnathan Cocchi and Dawson Harris.
The day before State Duals, the middle school wrestlers competed at Henderson County, placing seventh out of 12 teams in that event.
For Caldwell, Asher took first at 165 pounds, Klidzejs won the 89-pound class and Zegan Harris placed second at 77.


Trent was fifth at 95 pounds, Cocchi took fifth at 185 and Harris finished fifth at heavyweight.
Bonnell took home a win at 108, Reece Holland had a win at 83, Jones took home a win at 138 and Basco had a win at 138 as well.
This past Sunday, the squad wrestled at Paducah.
Asher took first in his class and will carry a 31-0 mark into regionals this weekend.
Klidzejs was second on Sunday at 83 pounds.
