Lady Falcons Claim 4th Place at Steve Johnson Memorial Tourney

The Fort Campbell girls’ wrestling team finished in fourth place at the Steve Johnson Memorial Tournament on Saturday hosted by Paducah Tilghman.

Kayla Maslonka had one of Fort Campbell’s two wins of the day. She won the 114-pound class, pinning all six of her opponents.

Brooke Arbic won the 165-pound class. She won her first five matches by pin and was awarded the title with a medical forfeit over Trigg County’s MaKenna Hendricks.

Jennifer Velazquez came in second place in the 145-pound class. Her lone loss in five matches came to Alivia Ming of Goreville, Ill. in the title match.

Elizabeth Allen placed second in the 152-pound class. She pinned her first four opponents before losing in the championship match.

Cassidy Harrington finished in fourth place in the 132-pound class.

Sophia Bober-McDonald came in fourth place in the 114-pound class. She began her day with four straight wins before a semifinal loss dropped her to the third-place match.

Delaney Perry finished fifth in the 100-pound class.

Tristin Caldwell came in sixth place in the 107-pound class.

Fort Campbell totaled 131 points to finish 30 points behind third-place Union County. Edwardsville, Ill. won the event with 252.5 points.
