Kentucky’s 105-96 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night was special.

The Wildcats crossed the 100-point mark for the third time this season and Big Blue Nation got to witness another win at Rupp Arena.

But if you watched the game on Saturday night, you know that’s not the reason Kentucky fans woke up today on cloud nine.

Not long before tip-off, an announcement was made granting Zvonimir Ivisic full eligibility. The announcement was effective immediately, allowing Ivisic to play in the team’s game vs. Georgia.

He didn’t start, but it didn’t take long for head coach John Calipari to send Big Z to check in and to say he delivered would be an understatement.

Ivisic poured in 11 points in the first half – all on long-distance shots (three from deep and one long two-point jump shot).

He only scored one basket in the second half to finish with 13 points, but his debut was more than electric.

His ability to handle the basketball, knock down long range shots, defend the rim and control the glass were all on full display.

Ivisic could very well be Kentucky’s final piece to a Final Four puzzle. He’s clearly talented and productive on the floor, but also close with his teammates and wants to wear the Kentucky uniform.

This team’s chemistry has been much improved from past seasons, with it not being a coincidence that they’ve had much more success.

Kentucky will travel to South Carolina on Tuesday for their third true road game of conference play. Tip-off in Columbia is scheduled for 7 PM ET.
