Lady Warriors Fall to Christian Fellowship at KCAC Tourney

Christian Fellowship’s Gracie had a big offensive night while the Lady Eagles’ defense allowed Heritage Christian no more than five points in any one quarter Friday. That effort carried CFS to a 57-15 win over the Lady Warriors in an opening-round game of the KCAC state tournament in Radcliff.

Howard scored 17 of her 26 points in the first quarter as Christian Fellowship roared out to a 23-2 first quarter lead. The lead grew to 36-5 at the half.

CFS kept the pressure on as the second half got underway. The Lady Eagles brought the running clock into play as they ran the lead out to 51-10 going into the final quarter.

Heritage Christian was led by Kate St. Martin with 10 points, all coming in the second half of play. Rachel Robson added three while 7th grader Ava DeJager scored the other two points for the Lady Warriors.

In addition to Howard’s 26 points, Ava Ryan finished with 9 points for Christian Fellowship.

Heritage Christian drops to 1-9 with the loss, which was the Lady Warriors’ 7th straight. They are set to be back in action February 3rd when they travel across town to take on the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers.
